Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. predicted that “in the end we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” As Dr. king’s pursuit of the civil rights movement was grounded in the fact that we are all God’s Children, his words ring true today. I believe that when a lost person dies and faces eternity, those souls are going to remember their lives. The most vivid memories will be those of their friends that never shared Jesus with them. The silent friends who spoke every day but held back the precious Gospel that could have changed their life…
In The Street Ministries exists to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost and hurting. We have chosen the streets, vacant lots, bridges, and other gathering places that are uncomfortable, therefore neglected.
In The Street works with other organizations to accomplish the universal calling all Christians share. We share this site with those organizations and as our site comes together you will have opportunity to hear from and communicate with these various ministries with whom we have joined forces to reach the common goal.
We invite you to register on this site and take part in our discussions which cover a plethora of topics. Sometimes we discuss projects and ideas. Sometimes we rant about current events. Sometimes we teach. No matter what the agenda, we want to keep our focus on the cause of Christ and we invite you to join in.
Here’s a plus; When you register for this web site you are not just a subscriber. We have our system set to automatically create your user account with contributor status. What this means is that you are not just allowed to make comments to existing articles, but are also allowed to write articles of your own! Please keep your articles relevant and place them in the category called “FRIENDS POST HERE” Thanks!
With much love - John Galloway
